Instructions for manuscript submission to "Chinese Journal of Vacuum Science and Technology"
"Chinese Journal of Vacuum Science and Technology" (hereinafter referred to as "Journal") is a national natural science and technology journal sponsored by the China Vacuum Society and approved by the China Association for Science and Technology. Since its foundation in 1981, it has been well received by the authors and readers, and has a wide range of influence and praise in the vacuum industry. The Journal published monthly both at home and abroad, and has been included in the international famous retrieval systems such as CA and SA for a long time. The impact factor of the journal has continued to increase for two consecutive years. In response to the spirit of the series of documents of the China Association for Science and Technology on the construction of high-quality journals and the improvement of the high-quality journals, the Journal will further promote the development of professionalization and high-quality, further improve the overall academic quality and publication quality, and actively promote the development of science and technology. We hereby sincerely invite domestic and foreign authors to log in to the journal's online submission system (http://zkkx.cbpt.cnki.net) to submit papers.
1. The direction of publication
"Chinese Journal of Vacuum Science and Technology" publishes scientific research papers based on vacuum science and technology, including vacuum technology and standards, thin film physics and technology, surface and interface physics, applied surface science, physical electronics, electronic materials and processing, nanoscience and technology, vacuum metallurgy, electric vacuum technology, nuclear vacuum technology, cosmic vacuum, etc.
2. Column settings
"Chinese Journal of Vacuum Science and Technology" has columns such as reviews, research letters, research papers, popular science column, and technical exchanges. Review articles summarize and review representative research results and the latest progress in this field, usually invited by the editorial board. If you have not received an invitation but intend to write a review article, you must contact the editorial board in advance. The review article must be forward-looking and instructive, 8000-10000 words in length (excluding references). Articles in the research letters category should have more significant academic value, timeliness, and can attract widespread attention, with a length of no more than 5 pages. Such articles will be published with priority. Research papers are the main body of the journal, mainly reporting original and important scientific research results. The popular science column is mainly for the popularization of vacuum related technologies, and to promote the dissemination and exchange of popular science. The technical exchange section is mainly for engineers in the vacuum industry to exchange experience and skills in the design and production of vacuum equipment.
3. Manuscript requirements
a. The paper should be scientific, advanced and practical, with clear and rigorous arguments, reliable data, and concise writing.
b. The paper can be written in Chinese or English, all of which must meet the standards for scientific research papers. For the writing format and specification of the article, please refer to the "Paper Template" in the "Submission Center". The article should include Chinese and English title, abstract, affiliation, fund projects, abbreviations, symbols, legal measurement units, illustrations, tables and references, etc.
c. A submission letter should be uploaded in the system when submitting a manuscript. The submission letter should state the academic value of the paper, including scientific innovation, technological innovation, or potential applications. At the same time, the authors should recommend no less than two experts, that do not have affiliation with the authors, with senior titles in the field as reviewers. Please indicate the affiliations (including colleges), titles, research fields and emails of the recommended reviewers in the letter.
d. Since 2022, this journal has been printed entirely in color. The author should avoid using grayscale images. It is recommended to use color images so as not to affect the printing effect.
e. If the work of others is used in the paper, be sure to mark it and list the details in the references.
4. Review period and fees
Manuscripts will be reviewed anonymously by peer experts organized by the editorial board, the decision to accept or not will be based on the review comments. During the period from submission to acceptance, an article would generally go through the editorial department's initial review (about 1 week), peer review (about 3 weeks), revised manuscript review (about 3 weeks), English review and final review (about 2 weeks) and other links. The period before the returning of the first review comments is about 4 weeks. Within about 2 weeks after the manuscript is accepted, the accepted manuscript will be published first through CNKI platform. The period from submission to publication is generally 1-4 months. If the author has not uploaded the revised manuscript for more than 3 months and has not contacted the editorial department, the editorial department will reject the manuscript.
The journal charges a layout fee of RMB 400 per page for accepted manuscripts, which is used to pay for typesetting, editing and processing, etc.; at the same time, RMB 200 per article is charged to pay for expert review fees. After the paper is published, the journal will pay the remuneration to the author and present the journal as a gift. The remuneration for this journal includes the online service of the publication content, the right to reproduce the document data, the right to distribute, the right to disseminate through internet, the right to compile, and the exclusive right to the layout design, etc. The remuneration will not be paid separately.
5. Precautions
a. Authors must transfer the copyright of the manuscript (including copyrights of various media) to the editorial department at the same time when submitting manuscripts. Authors must abide by academic norms and guidelines, do not submit one manuscript for multiple submission, and do not plagiarize. Comply with the provisions of the editorial department regarding copyright transfer agreements and academic standards commitments. When submitting a manuscript, the author should download the "Copyright Agreement" in the Submission Center, and the corresponding author and the first author should sign on behalf of all authors and upload it in the submission system.
b. Before submitting a paper, it should be ensured that all authors are informed and agree to the signature and the ordering of co-authors, and all signed authors must review the entire research content of the manuscript to ensure that the results are accurate and reliable, and there is no academic misconduct.
c. All signed authors of the paper should have made substantial contributions to the work of the paper and be responsible for the paper. It is strictly forbidden to name anyone unrelated to the paper. The collaborators and institutions who have contributed to this research should be thanked and placed in the acknowledgment. Authors are not allowed to modify the author's name and affiliation after the article is submitted. Therefore, authors are requested to carefully consider the issue of authorship before submitting the manuscript. In special cases, the corresponding author must send a statement to the editorial department ( cjvst@cvs.org.cn).
d. The journal strictly implements the system of initial review, re-review and final review. After the submission, the editorial department will send the notification related to the manuscript to the mailbox of the corresponding author. The author is requested to ensure that the mailbox and phone number are correct when submitting the manuscript, and pay attention promptly to the mailbox of the corresponding author after submission.
e. The manuscript must not involve state secrets, and the authors are responsible for the writing. This journal has joined "China Info (China Information) Network Resource System (Electronic Journal)", etc. Authors do not agree to upload their manuscripts to Internet, please submit to other journals.
f. After the article is accepted, it will be first published online by default. If there is any objection, please explain it in the submission letter.
